NEW COMPONENTS

To make this silver jubilee truly historic, new components are being introduced:

  • City Embraces Anjali: engaging citizens and communities of Bhubaneswar in inclusive celebrations

  • Corporate Volunteering: encouraging companies and professionals to nurture inclusion

  • Hospitality Volunteers; ensuring visiting children, youth, and educators experience warmth and care throughout the festival

  • The roadmap for elevating Anjali from a festival to a movement - one that promotes the acceptance of differences and the celebration of diversity in every sphere of life.

YEAR 1 (13/11/2025 – 14/11/2026)

Roadmap: From Festival to Movement

Vision Statement

Anjali will no longer be just a once-a-year festival. It will grow into a people’s movement,  inspiring accessibility, acceptance of differences, celebrating diversity, and building inclusive communities across India and beyond.

Activities

1. Deepening the Festival Experience

  • Expand themes beyond art and culture to include technology, sports, environment, and innovation.

  • Create year-long competitions and workshops feeding into the festival.

  • Ensure universal accessibility in every event, transport, venues, digital tools, and materials.

2. Building a Year-Round Engagement Model

  • Launch Anjali Clubs in schools, colleges, and communities to carry the spirit forward.

  • Regular workshops, debates, and art exhibitions on inclusion and creativity.

  • Monthly “Inclusion Days” in institutions where children lead awareness campaigns.

3. Amplifying Youth Leadership

  • Create a Youth Inclusion Council under Anjali for policy advocacy.

  • Train volunteers as “Ambassadors of Inclusion” who can mentor peers and replicate models.

  • Encourage student-led projects on accessibility, sustainability, and creativity.

4. Strengthening Parent, Teacher, and Community Partnerships

  • Regular parent–teacher inclusion dialogues.

  • Story-sharing platforms for parents and caregivers.

  • Partner with teacher training institutes to integrate inclusive pedagogy.

5. National and Global Collaborations

  • Collaborate with other inclusive festivals and movements in India and abroad.

  • Invite global artists, experts, and thought leaders to co-create experiences.

  • Position Anjali as a knowledge hub for inclusion, art-based learning, and child rights.

6. Policy Advocacy and Systemic Change

  • Use festival insights to influence education, cultural, and youth policies.

  • Showcase model practices to governments and institutions.

  • Document outcomes annually and release an Inclusion Report.

7. Communication and Storytelling

  • Create a digital platform where stories of children, volunteers, and families are shared year-round.

  • Use film, theatre, and social media campaigns to normalize diversity.

  • Develop Anjali’s signature “Inclusion Anthem” or symbol that people can identify with.

8. Sustainability and Growth

  • Establish an Anjali Foundation to mobilize resources.

  • Create a fellowship program for young leaders of inclusion.

  • Build an alumni network of past participants and volunteers to sustain momentum.
